At the international Red Dot design competition, the new PROTAGO cordless
safety angle grinder received the special "Best of the Best" award in the
"Tools" category. The development of the PROTAGO focused on both the
innovative safety concept and the associated user orientation. At the same
time, a lot of emphasis was placed on good design. "Because a well thoughtout product design is becoming increasingly important for our customers,"
says product designer Matthias Wunderling. Christian Weber, the product
manager responsible, describes the award as a great success for FEIN. "The
Red Dot Award enjoys a very high international reputation. The fact that the
jury even gave the PROTAGO the highest "Best of the Best" award is a great
confirmation for our product design and generally for our work within this
project."
In addition to the excellent design, the new PROTAGO cordless safety angle
grinder features a unique operating concept that avoids the risks of incorrect
handling and consequently significantly reduces the risk of injury to users.
The PROTAGO will initially be available exclusively for the French
construction group @Bouygues Construction. FEIN will offer the PROTAGO
to other partners at a later date.
