About us

Since starting our company in 2000, we have been working on new ways for the industrial application of laser technology. Our customers achieve the highest quality in their production with our innovative processing heads for laser welding, brazing, cladding, hardening and cutting. Together, we develop the best possible solution for you.

B.I.G. Technology (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berlin.Industrial.Group. (B.I.G.), a subsidiary of the Scansonic brand, established in China. It fully takes over the sales and after-sales service of the Scansonic brand in China. The company's business model has switched from agency to direct sales.

Scansonic MI GmbH develops, produces and sells laser processing optics for welding, brazing, hardening, softening, coating and cutting. Scansonic sees itself as a development partner to its customers, with most of whom it has long-standing relationships. The modular design of the optics allows customer-specific, flexible solutions for the respective production task; with different designs, imaging ratios, beam shaping or process monitoring with artificial intelligence.

This is made possible not least by the company's own laser application center. It has 10 fully equipped laboratories for developing new processes and devices. This is where the application engineers test new Scansonic products, support customers who want to develop new manufacturing processes and work on research projects together with international universities and institutes.

ALO4 - next generation for laser welding and laser brazing

ALO4 is the next generation laser optic for laser welding and brazing with tactile seam tracking and it is the upgrade version of renowned ALO3. SCANSONIC is the world leader in laser welding systems for BW and it maintains the advantages of the previous product generation, still retain the welding advantages of contact weld tracking. The additional wire thus forms a wear-free, self-renewing guide tip - directly at the focus of the laser and with consistently high accuracy, achieve the stable process control and get the high-quality weld.

Various sampling positions (left / right applications) and different seam geometries are possible in one station thanks to the parametrisable motorised lateral adjustment. Based on the ALO3, the new generation of products is more integrated, and the software design of Industry 4.0 use the intuitive user interfaces with recipes for operating and configuring the optics.

FCW - Fast Component Welding

FCW is a fast component welding system by means of stackable compact scanners. For high productivity requirements, welding speeds become necessary that cannot be achieved with standard laser processes. The FCW system technology consists of several compact scanners, so multiple joining processes remain controllable and to secure the welding quality. The system allows a simple and cost-effective parallelization of laser processes. The FCW leads to scaled productivity. The FCW is both adaptive for the gantries and robots. It enables the simplifies automation and customization on site and saves floor space. Every CSC (compact scanner) can make beam deflection in x- and y-direction and focus correction in z. FCW offers high dynamics because each compact scanner is individually calibrated and can be quickly integrated into the system network. The FCW applications are hairpins, prismatic cells, surface cooler for car battery trays and many more. With FCW welding becomes more efficient.

TH6D-Advanced - give the robot an eye

For the automated production processes such as welding, adhesives , we offer the TH6D-ADVANCED optical seam tracking sensors. The proven triangulation principle uses three line lasers to search and track the seam in the workpiece and achieve the close-cycle control in the process. Thanks to the strong extraneous light filtering system and the latest camera technology , it can get rid the influence of the highly reflective、extraneous light, dust and EMI. Also, it can suit all well-established robot controls Interfaces. We also offer customized services to our customers.
